Tender Squid Strips Seafood Pack
Squid strips cut from clean, firm tubes. The flesh is pale and translucent, with a mild sweetness that takes on seasoning well — chilli, garlic, salt and pepper, or a squeeze of citrus all work.
Cut thin and even, the strips cook through in a minute or two. Flash-fry them for a crisp edge, drop them into a hotpot, or blanch and dress them cold as a salad. Overcooking tightens the texture, so keep the heat high and the time short.
- Even strips cut from clean squid tubes
- Mild, sweet flavour that holds seasoning
- Cooks in one to two minutes
- Good for frying, hotpot and cold salads
- Frozen at peak freshness
Keep frozen until use and thaw in the refrigerator.
Good to know
Everything here comes off the ice and straight into the order. Cut, cleaned and trimmed by hand, then packed the same day it is picked. Expect firm flesh, clean edges and the smell of the sea rather than the fridge.
Cook it simply. Butter, lemon, a hot pan or a low oven will do more for it than anything complicated.
Keeping & cooking
Keep it cold, keep it covered, and cook it while it is still at its best. If something in the order is not right, tell us and a real person will look at it with you.
